Atmagyan Prachar Sangh (AGPS)
Atmagyan Prachar Sangh (AGPS) is a non-profit social organization registered with the Government of Nepal in 1984. Since its establishment, AGPS has been working continuously to spread the message of peace from International Peace Ambassador Mr. Prem Rawat throughout the country through more than 500 centers by conducting various events and activities. His message aims to help every person experience inner peace.
In addition to its peace initiatives, AGPS invites Mr. Prem Rawat to Nepal to organize large-scale live events. AGPS also organizes peace rallies across the country on the International Day of Peace to promote harmony, unity, and peace.
Besides its peace initiatives, AGPS is actively involved in humanitarian work. The organization has distributed relief materials to people affected by natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and cold waves. During the 2015 Nepal Earthquake, AGPS provided more than 3,000 nutritious, freshly prepared meals to affected people and sheltered over 1,500 individuals in its centers for more than a month. During the COVID-19 pandemic, AGPS distributed essential food packets and health and hygiene supplies while following the necessary safety protocols. AGPS also regularly organizes blood donation programs.
AGPS has been collaborating with PFN to organize free eye check-up camps, where doctors and optometrists conduct eye examinations, educate people on eye care, provide medications for eye infections, distribute eyeglasses when needed, and refer patients for further treatment when necessary.
